In Focus we had time activated printer assignments. These would come in handy sometimes with larger venues that would have different staff on at different times of the day/week. Like Thursday-Saturday there was/is a dedicated bar tender to making drinks for a section, so we need to route all drink orders to them for this time period, but when not in that time period we just didn't send orders to that printer. Same with Cooks. One thing that has helped us a lot with these busy places are KDS, as we can just route orders to those KDS's systems regardless of a person being there or not, and nobody cares as paper isn't being wasted, and then in the KDS we just set the ticket to auto bump after a certain amount of time.
