I demoed EdgeServ to one of my larger restaurant groups today and there were some things that they said wanted before they would fee thinking of making a switch. AKA deal killers as it would slow down order entry. One was our coursing is too slow. Attached is a photo of how their current POS system does it. The items go into their respective courses and there is a very user-friendly graphical user interface that looks like a multi check split screen and one can easily move a course from say appetizer to entree or vice versa. Nice but not too much of a big deal to select the course and change it. If you look at the screen though they also have hold and fire from the same screen which is a big deal for them. We could do them one better by adding fire in 5 minutes, or 10, or 15, or a settable time, as this is something they like and their currently pos can not do this from the hold screen so they have to exit this screen, and then set the fire time.
